A legendary live session between Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan, newly mastered and pressed on 3 LPs.
In Session [3 LP] (Albert King & Stevie Ray Vaughan, 1983)
Released to celebrate Albert King’s centennial, In Session captures a once-in-a-lifetime meeting between two blues titans—Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Recorded live for television at CHCH-TV studios in Ontario, Canada in 1983, this is the only known recording of the two legends performing together. The chemistry is electric, the respect palpable, and the music timeless.
Originally released in 1999, this deluxe edition is now available in its entirety for the first time. Newly mastered by Joe Tarantino, the 3-LP set is pressed on 180g vinyl and housed in a gatefold board jacket. Backed by Tony Llorens (piano/organ), Gus Thornton (bass), and Michael Llorens (drums), the session blends raw blues fire with soulful finesse.
