Description
A few of the highlights from/about the new book, From Cold War to Hot Peace, are mentioned in some tweets by the author, Michael McFaul during the promotion. Those that appealed to me are:
5. I wrote #HotPeace with the hope that it will still be on the shelf in libraries decades from now. As such, its not a rah rah book for Obama, our team, or me. Im critical, including of myself. Before you come to final judgements, read the whole book. https://t.co/eiyKXWU7Rw

7. I have written and edited many books. You can check them out here: https://t.co/wfo4eiZHAS. #HotPeace , however , is the first book in which I used the word, "I". As an academic, that was very hard for me. You get to judge whether it worked or not. https://t.co/qXa37lsCyL

9. The first draft of #Hotpeace was more than 50% longer than the final draft. Thank you God for fantastic editors at @HMHbooks ! The book in print is 506 pages, but the text ends at p. 448. Im a professor in my core. I like footnotes ! https://t.co/Fimq0gS2FY

These are some of the reasons I look forward to reading this book myself. A special word of recognition can also be written about the appropriately color-coded (red and black), striking, minimalistic book cover for the hardbound version!
